Event Security at Ashton Gate
Stadium security at Ashton Gate is proudly provided by Clifton Security, a Bristol based security company with strong roots and long standing connections within the local community. We are trusted to deliver professional, reliable, and well-coordinated security services for one of the region’s most high-profile venues.
All Clifton Security staff deployed at Ashton Gate are fully SIA licensed and trained to at least Level 2 NVQ in Spectator Safety, with many also holding Level 3 supervisory qualifications. This ensures every member of our team is equipped with the knowledge, professionalism and confidence required to manage large-scale crowds safely and effectively.
Over the past year, we have proudly supported a wide range of major events at the stadium, including:
- High profile concerts
- England Rugby fixtures
- International football matches.
Our experience across multiple event types allows us to adapt seamlessly to different crowd dynamics and operational requirements.
Our services at Ashton Gate include SIA-licensed security personnel, NVQ Level 2 and Level 3 trained stewards and supervisors, hospitality and VIP guest services, car park and traffic management teams, as well as customer service and ticketing support staff. Each role plays a vital part in ensuring smooth operations and a positive spectator experience from arrival to departure.
We believe exceptional event security goes beyond safety alone. That’s why our teams are fully briefed on the history, values, and ethos of each venue we work with, helping to enhance the match day and event experience for all attendees. We also work closely with local authorities, emergency services and Safety Advisory Groups to ensure strong communication, compliance and real-time decision making.
Our expertise spans football across all divisions, including international fixtures, club and Premiership rugby, major athletics events, live music concerts, festivals, and corporate stadium events.
As one of the leading security providers in Bristol and the South West, Clifton Security continues to deliver trusted, professional crowd management and event safety services, always prioritising both safety and spectator experience.
